It's that kind of really putrid, filthy stuff that I hold very VERY dear! Old school death metal/death-doom with a proper sound and good fuckin' riffs! Also, these guys from Illinois (that place whose obnoxious nazis hunted the Blues Brothers) put out a demo like this and then disappeared in the winds of eternity! THAT'S HOW YOU DO IT! Beautiful and not-overlong atmospheric moments as natural breaths between hard hitting passages and a strong musical theme throughout the work make this an album worth experiencing. It's hard to listen to only one song here without listening to them all which I think says a lot about the consistency and balance of the track list. I have been converted and am now a Phrenelith fan! aminimal_
